If you are anything like me, you go through phases when every once in a while you de-clutter, part with half your wardrobe, re-organize anything remaining and slowly start incorporating new pieces in. Its because of this that I am extremely picky about what I introduce into my mix of things, especially with limited space and stereotypically small New York closets (remember when Carrie used her oven as storage in SATC ?) but I digress…

Dressing for me needs to be simple and hit on fit, comfort & quality. It starts with the idea that getting dressed just doesn’t have to be that complicated. Having said that I still want bold & impactful but I also want easy & effortless…opposing ideas perhaps but not really. I am firm believer that making a statement can be achieved with minimal effort required. And while “statement” dressing gets thrown around a lot, evoking connotations of loud, overworked items, I think statements can easily be achieved with volume, proportion, drape and silhouette
